Ian Hau - Founder

Australian Chinese, Ian Hau is the founder of XLMS, a multi-discipline design & construction company focused on placemaking for collaborative workplaces, immersive retail and luxury living.
Ian, is accomplished in Urban Design, Architecture, interior design and project management. Ian leads design and construction teams, shaping development frameworks and client interactions. His notable projects include the Lujiazui Pudong Qiantan in Shanghai, XiXi Hangzhou Wetland Park Masterplan, Macau L'Occitane Hotel and construction Belowground at Landmark Hong Kong.
In recognition of his achievements, Ian received the Perspective '40 under 40' award in 2017 (Architecture Category), the Innovator of the Year award at the 2019 German Design Award for Excellent Architecture, the Best Architectural Planning & Build Company - HK by Build Magazine U.K. in 2019 and the 2023 Hong Kong Design Association's Brand Design Awards for 'Excellence in Best Distinctiveness Award in category of Architecture & Construction'.
Ian graduated from the University of Technology Sydney’s Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building and began his career in Sydney, working with architect Philip Cox on Olympic stadia and waterfront redevelopment. He served as an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong and is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Ian is also a founding member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design.
Leslie Au Yeung - Director

Leslie Au Yeung graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of New South Wales in 2003. Leslie has over 20 years of experience in design and project management for projects in Australia, China, Macau, Hong Kong and the Middle East. Leslie is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams and serves as the key interface to building contractors. Leslie is a specialist for hotels, hospitality, retail, residential, health, science and technology building typologies.
Key Projects include, the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi which is a 7-Star hospital, Victor Chang Research Institute Lowy Packer Building in Sydney, a world class research precinct and the largest in biomedical hub in Australia. Sands Cotai Central, a luxury themed hotel and entertainment development in Macau, with 4 internationally renowned hotel towers, namely Sheraton, Conrad and Holiday Inn, and a 7-storey Podium.
Over the past five years at XLMS, Leslie has taken lead as the ‘Main Contractor and Project Director for various design & Build projects. Delivering design and construction for luxury retail brands such as Alice & Olivia, Hong Kong Land, Tassels and construction of Belowground at Landmark Hong Kong..
Leslie was awarded 2019 Most Reputed Architecture & Interior Design Solutions of the Year and 2019 Best Architectural Planning & Build Company , Hong Kong by Build Magazine U.K.
